Obese Employs Cost Workplaces $8 Bil

A new study found that the higher someone's BMI was, the more days they spent outside the office. Obese workers were absent 44 percent more often than normal-weight employees. That means obesity accounts for up to 12.6 percent of total absenteeism costs in the workplace…about $8.65 billion lost.
