Spanish City Doesn't Get World Record

A city in Spain attempted to beat a world record in August by creating the world's largest Spanish omelette. Bad news though. They recently found out that their entry was rejected after if failed to beat Japan's 11,036 kilogram tortilla de patatas. The failed omelette cost 45,000 euros to make.
