Lynch Clears Senate Judiciary Committee

In her next step to becoming the U.S. attorney general, Loretta Lynch has been cleared by the Senate Judiciary Committee. She would be the first African-American female to hold the position. Of the twelve votes, she received 8 in favor; all Democrats and half the Republicans voted for her.
