Treating Somalia's Mentally Ill

Somalia, a country with no government, has been plagued by civil war for decades. Now approximately one-third of the population lives with mental illness. To address the issue, Dr. Abdulrahman Ali Awale trained for three months and used a $14,000 donation. He established the Habeb Mental Health Hospital in Mogadishu.
