Tobacco Companies Paying Out More

Tobacco companies have agreed to pay $100 million for more than 400 federal lawsuits in Florida. The plaintiffs sought compensation for illness and death. The companies paying out are Altria Group’s Philip Morris USA, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., and Lorillard. The original suit, which was overturned, was class-action with a $145 billion reward.
