Corrections Commissioner Pleads Guilty

Christopher Epps, a Former Mississippi corrections commissioner, had pleaded guilty to accepting bribes. Cecil McCrory paid Epps more than $1 million to help secure private prison contracts. They both pleaded guilty to money laundering and conspiracy. Epps confessed to the additional offense of tax fraud—filing a false return.
