Sex Offenders Sue Over Housing Law

In California, parolees who are registered sex offenders challenged housing laws and won. The Supreme Court ruled a law restricting their San Diego County housing unconstitutional. Jessica’s Law of 2006 prevented them from living within 2,000 feet of public parks or schools. The parolees’ increased homelessness was listed among the reasons for change.
